In Minecraft, a world seed is a unique combination of characters or numbers that serves as the basis for generating the terrain and landscape of a new game world. When a player creates a new world or enters a specific seed value, the game's world generation algorithm uses that seed to determine the arrangement of biomes, structures, ores, and other features in the game world. Sharing a world seed lets other players recreate the same world in their Minecraft clients.
