Uploading website files to a domain server is how a website becomes visible and accessible to the public on the Internet. The server acts as a host, storing all the site's data—like HTML, images, and stylesheets—so a web browser can retrieve them. This crucial step links the human-friendly domain name to the physical files, allowing people worldwide to view the site simply by typing in its address.
Users can start uploading files to the websites even if the domain name is not registered yet.
To access the FTP without a domain name, enter the following into the FTP manager:YOURUSERNAME@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Replacing 'YOURUSERNAME' with the username from the control panel, and 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' with the server IP address.
Note: The username and IP address can be found in the welcome email provided after completing the order.
If users wish to see the website without the domain name, users can use the temporary URL. The temporary URL is shown in the welcome email.
