The A record is a fundamental component of DNS that helps connect domain names to their corresponding IP addresses. It stands for "Address record." The A record bridges the human-readable domain name and the computer-readable IP address, ensuring that devices can reach the Minecraft server. For port numbers other than 25565, create an SRV record instead.
Note: It can take up to 24 hours for ISP/DNS providers to update the A record.
Step 1. Log in to the MelonCube Client panel.
Step 2. Click the Domains tab and select My Domains.
Step 3. Select the Manage Domain wrench icon.
Step 4. Under the Manage table, select DNS Management. (If the option is not visible, contact support here.)
Step 5. Click Add A New A Record.
Step 6. Fill in the fields.
Hostname: Subdomain of the server.
(Ex: To join using [domain].com, enter @. To join using play.[domain].com, enter play.)
IPv4 Address: IP address of the server without the port number.
TTL: 14400
Step 7. Select Add Record.
